Build 14 - The Power to Freeze Time At Your Fingertips...
2 Updates in a week, sweet!
After the previous sound update, I got asked to be able to adjust the volume of the sound. The problem was that there was no good place to add this to my game. Hence it was time to add a pause menu!
What I thought was going to take 1 day at most, took 4. Crazy how that works right? Well after discovering a few quirks with the unity sound mixer (Why Can't You Use the audio mixer's SetFloat method in Awake !?) and making my own pause interface -- setting timeScale to 0 wouldn't work --, there's now a pause menu.
What's In the Menu?
well, nothing much, just a resume, settings, and exit button, but you don't need much else. There is 2 sliders in the Settings page, a music slider, and a sound effects slider. And don't worry, your settings save.
What's Next?
Now that most of the game's main systems are in place, the next few updates will be visual and gameplay-focused. currently, I'm working on a new level select screen. I'm also thinking about adding a new verses game mode, where 2 players can go head to head with a random gun loadout. don't know if ill add it any time soon.
